An Update For You

Worked all weekend. It was a very nice little weekend to work too. Started out kinda busy, and ended up VERY nice. :) Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE my job? Well, I do. I love the job, I love the place, I love the people, I love the management. (These are all things you DEFINITELY would not have heard come out of my mouth some 13 months ago). I get the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing people in L&D. I recently got to know a totally awesome couple, just by doing my job!! I was also reminded of a couple I helped deliver 3 years ago on my birthday... they told their nurse about me this time around, and let her know that they were naming their baby after me!! You gotta admit that is ridiculously awesome. Plus, one more girl Ryan in the world is always a good thing. :)

Ok, I went to the doctor today. You know, Dr. Optimistic. We looked at things to see what my likelihood was of ovulating. Things look very similar to how they looked when we got pregnant with Jake (on clomid, 25 months ago). So, I have much better faith than I did. However, 25 months ago, things did not look 100% good or 100% bad. Things are not perfect, but I know that it definitely CAN happen. SO, please, please be praying for my little ovaries!! They can do this!! ;)

Happy Monday, friends!

I need your help :)

He's cute.

We've had quite a time at our house with a summer cold we all passed around! Jake also got two molars in the past couple weeks. Those were doozies! I had a double ear infection that's left me unable to hear perfectly... so weird. If you see me in public, you might need to yell, or tap me on the shoulder. I'm constantly saying, "huh??" :-/

I hope you are enjoying your summer! We sure are! We've taken full advantage of the summer sun and spent lots of time playing outside and in the water. Derick built Jake a swing set recently. Jake is obsessed with it. And I don't mean he just likes it. I mean, he will FLIP out when we take him out of it. He will stand by the swing and cry his little head off until you go get him. He is kind of difficult sometimes! :) But still cute as heck, nonetheless.

Guys, I have a special need right now that I could really use prayer for. So, when you think about it, pray that I can let God handle this need. I have an issue with giving up control on the bigger issues in life and this is a need that I certainly have zero control over. I've thought long and hard about posting this here, and I think my not wanting to is more selfish than anything. I can't get the prayers I need without putting it all out there. So, please pray for patience and peace for Derick and I as we venture into our second endeavor with the fertility drug Clomid. If you've kept up with the blog, you know that Jake was a "Clomid baby", so we know that it definitely can work. I just really have problems with the strength of my faith in this area. It is really lacking and it really needs to not be. Pray that I can just trust God and his timing. Thank you in advance for your prayers!

Happy weekend, friends. Make it a good one!
